Miss Mel started dancing at the age of 4 at Heidelberg and District Ballet School with Lorraine Blackbourn OAM, and many other wonderful teachers, all of whom had a huge impact in developing her love of dance. Mel trained extensively in Ballet, receiving Honours in all her Cecchetti Ballet exams up to Advanced 2. She was selected numerous times to be apart of the prestigous Cecchetti Scholars Program throughout high school, where she had the opportunity to learn from some of Australia and the world's best teachers. Mel specialises in teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Contemporary. She has been teaching dance for the last 15 years and is also a qualified Primary Teacher, having spent several years in the classroom before opening Nepean Dance. Mel received top marks in her Cecchetti teaching qualifications up to and including Licenciate, is an ATOD (Australian Teachers of Dance) Affiliate Member & is also certified with the Acrobatic Arts Association. She has her Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management, as well as Cert IV in Training and Assessment. Miss Mel is passionate about helping students gain confidence and reach their full potential through dance, and feels privileged and so lucky to be able to do this every week at Nepean Dance. Starting her own dance school has always been a dream, and since opening Nepean Dance in 2022, she has never looked back. Miss Mel teaches Preschool Classes, Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Contemporary. 

Katie has been dancing for 17 years and grew up dancing at Peninsula School of Dance in Rosebud, where she developed her passion for dance and grew both as a dancer and teacher. Katie had the opportunity to work as a DanceStep student teacher at Peninsula Dance, where she got a valuable insight and learnt many of her teaching skills. Throughout Katie's dance journey so far, she has had many great opportunities such as dancing for Jason Coleman's 'Humanimals', choreographing for her high schools Wakakirri performance and directing and starring in school Wakakirri performances. Katie has been teaching for almost 4 years and is fully qualified with the Acrobatic Arts Association. Katie teaches Acro and Contemporary.

Steph studied at VCA in Musical Theatre. She has performed all across Australia in children's music theatre for several years. She has also performed across Australia and China in the Australian Lady Gaga and Rhianna Tribute show in the role of Lady Gaga. She is currently in the Blues Brothers tribute show performing across Victoria. Steph has been teaching for over 10 years in all styles including Urban and Street Latin. Steph teaches Musical Theatre and our Adult Dance Fitness class.
